every piece one makes has art in it... it may not look to your eyes, but it may be worth the world to others... i for instance dont like any of my work, but some people seem to enjoy it...

ok thanks. I'll check that out. I am teaching myself basic drawing and working on that so hopefully my work doesn;t come out so random but actually gains some artistic merit.

advice? not really.. i believe in self-education and the good old try-and-error way of the jedi
try to vary your horizons, dont just watch abstract artist's, watch fotography, it may bring you new perspective on your work
